Effective April 22, 2010, the EPA requires construction firms and workers who work on pre-1978 homes/buildings to be Lead Paint Renovation and Repair Certified.
Fines for non-compliance begin at $32,500!
Based on the new EPA ruling, beginning in April 2010, contractors performing renovation, repair and painting projects that disturb lead-based paint in homes, child care facilities, schools or any buildings where children gather, built on pre-1978, must be certified and must follow specific work practices to prevent lead contamination.
Completing this training demonstrates your company’s competence to prospective clients and can be a marketing advantage that distinguishes your company from the competition.

Course Details:
This one day RRP training course is provided by Seagull Environmental Management Company, Inc. and assisted by ABC Institute. Courses are approved for certification under section 402 of
TSCA for the Certified Renovator.
The course includes:
- A practical application portion where students learn via hands-on practice
- Certification examination
- Students, who successfully complete the written exam, and 11 skill sets, will attain certification
to conduct Renovation, Repair & Painting activities.
