
| ABOUT THE TRADE
Line erectors install and maintain transmission and distribution power lines
for electric utilities. These facilities include overhead and underground
power cables, as well as substation, Distribution and Transmission Lines,
transformer and switch gear. The line erector, or lineman, apprenticeship
program includes task-oriented (on-the-job) training and competency-based
(classroom) curriculum. Graduates receive a journeyman certificate which
allows them to work across the country in this exciting trade.
HIGHLY QUALIFIED INSTRUCTORS
ABCI Line Erector instructors are accomplished journeyman or master
craftsman in their trade. They are certified in the State of Florida by
County Boards of Education and registered Craft Instructors with the Center
for Construction Education and Research.
TRADE RECOGNITION
ABCI's Line Erector Apprenticeship Program is registered in the State of
Florida and is nationally recognized by the United States Department of
Labor and the Center for Construction Education and Research.
EARN WHILE YOU LEARN
Apprenticeship is your first step in building a solid career in the
construction industry. It combines high-paying employment with 480 hours of
classroom lab instruction and 6000 hours, OJT ( On-Job Training). This training course
